The Rack Centre recently hosted Peter Carter, the British Deputy High Commissioner Lagos, the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Nigeria and Angola Mr. David Heath MP alongside a business delegation comprising from the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).

During a tour of the facility by the delegation, the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Peter Carter, was impressed by the technology implemented, the quality of the facility and the craftsmanship that went into the design and build of the data centre facility.
Mr. Peter Carter remarked on stepping into the data centre, “I actually felt I was in a facility in the UK and not in Nigeria as I’ve never seen anything like this here”.
Mr. Peter Carter was also very impressed that the technology showcased was designed and fabricated in the UK having passed through a rigorous approval inspection testing and certification by the British Board of Agrément.
With increasing availability of intercontinental fibre cables in Nigeria and the resulting improvement in broadband Internet services, data centres are a core area for growth in the Information Technology industry.
